About Leviathan Digital.

Leviathan Digital is a small independent UK game studio. It started as the practice of designer Jack Stirling and is growing into a rev-share collective of developers working on several projects at once.

The studio runs in two modes. On the rev-share side we develop our own games and interactive projects in parallel, with the team sharing in what they ship. On the work-for-hire side we take on contract and freelance development with other indie teams, which helps keep the lights on between releases.

Past and ongoing collaborations include teams in the UK, Tokyo, Vienna and Dhahran, plus roles such as Associate Designer at Quantum Soup and technical work at Cubic Motion. We are comfortable wearing several hats, which is usually how indie development goes.

Developer · Systems

Loves Souls-likes and roguelike/lites — every run teaches you something and getting better actually feels good. That's a big part of why he got into game development. Main focus is procedural generation: building systems that create variety and surprise without everything being hand-placed. Also into music, and wants to bring it more directly into games — not just as a soundtrack, but as something that's part of how a game feels and plays.

A rev-share indie studio building a team.

Alongside contract work, Leviathan Digital runs as a rev-share collective working on several small to mid scale games and interactive projects in parallel. We are slowly bringing more people into that pipeline.

We want Leviathan Digital to be a friendly entry point into the UK games industry, and a steady home for people who are already in it. Most of the studio works on a rev-share basis, with contract work used to keep things running between releases.

We care more about reliability, communication and finishing work than about credentials or studio pedigree. If you can show up, do what you said you would, and talk to the rest of the team, we are interested.

The long term goal is simple. Build a hub for up and coming UK talent that ships a consistent stream of honest, well made games.
